Stories of Feeding God's Children Hungry in Body & Spirit

A refugee’s story of hope

A refugee’s story of hope

When the war reached her village in eastern Ukraine, Tetiana* lost nearly everything: her home, her community, her sense of stability. Volunteers helped evacuate her to a new region, but she arrived in a strange city with no belongings, no place to stay and no familiar faces.

Hunger and hopelessness in the face of displacement

Eventually, she found a small place to live, but her pension barely covered her needs. In deep despair, she answered the door to volunteers from FMSC partner Mission Eurasia — bringing MannaPack® Rice.

Moved to tears, Tetiana said:

“I don’t have the words to express how grateful I am ... Thank you, dear friends. Yes, God does exist and He hasn’t forgotten me.”

Her words echo what so many displaced people feel — fear, grief, and at times, overwhelming relief when help arrives.

Global refugee crisis: the need is greater than ever

More than 120 million people worldwide have been forcibly displaced from their homes — most of them children and the elderly. Hunger is one of their most urgent and ongoing needs.

FMSC partners work among some of the largest refugee crises globally, inside some of the most critical hunger hotspots — delivering lifechanging meals, one box at a time.
