Stories of Feeding God's Children Hungry in Body & Spirit

FMSC Hunger Bulletin | June 2026

EMERGENCY UPDATE: VENEZUELA — Partners responding to the earthquakes have requested nearly 3 million FMSC meals. Help fund the response.

Each meal you pack, fund and pray over equips FMSC partners to do transformative work around the world. Hunger relief is usually just part of what our partners do — but food is the foundation for so much more.

Conflict forces families to flee. Hunger follows.

Families arrive in Uganda weary from fleeing conflict — only to face a new threat: hunger. In just one year, hunger among refugees in Uganda has more than tripled.

Uganda | Africa

Uganda has long welcomed families fleeing conflict in Sudan, South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. More than 1.7 million refugees and asylum-seekers now live there, and more families continue to arrive.

Uganda is also responding to Ebola cases linked to an outbreak in neighboring Democratic Republic of the Congo — a major health emergency unfolding as refugee hunger continues to rise.

Today, 65% of refugees in Uganda do not have enough food. More than 7 in 10 refugee households are eating fewer meals each day. One in four has pulled children from school as families use every available resource to survive.

More families need meals now

When families do not have enough to eat, children miss meals and parents face impossible choices between food, shelter, medicine and school.

FMSC partners are providing MannaPack® meals to refugee families in Uganda. But as hunger rises and more families arrive, more meals are urgently needed.

Your gift sends meals children can count on today — meeting the need that cannot wait and helping families preserve scarce resources for shelter, medicine or keeping children in school.
