Stories of Feeding God's Children Hungry in Body & Spirit
Women gather to create lasting change
On Tuesday, June 3, women from across the Dallas-Fort Worth area gathered at the Richardson Woman's Club for Ripples of Hope — an inspiring event that celebrated the power of women to uplift one another, support communities around the world and transform lives.
Guests heard powerful stories of hope and transformation — none more moving than those shared by featured speaker Janine Maxwell, co-founder of Heart for Africa, a longtime FMSC food distribution and FMSC MarketPlace™ partner.
Janine shared the powerful story behind her book Hope Lives Here, which chronicles the creation and mission of Project Canaan in Eswatini. The book offers an honest and deeply personal account of Janine and Ian Maxwell’s journey to build a children’s home and sustainable development project, providing hope and care to hundreds of orphaned and abandoned children. Through stories of triumphs and trials, Janine highlighted their efforts to combat hunger, poverty and lack of education, emphasizing the transformative impact of love and faith on the community on the lives they serve.
