Stories of Feeding God's Children Hungry in Body & Spirit
5 billion meals. Millions fed. One mission.
Because of you, 5 billion meals have been shipped — and together, we’re just getting started.
“Five billion meals represent 5 billion moments of hope,” said J.J. Slag, FMSC CEO. “Every meal is packed because someone chose to show up.”
From 1987 to now, this milestone belongs to us all.
- Because donors give, we can keep producing nutrient-rich meals for only 29 cents.
- Because volunteers pack, we can put 88% of total donations directly into meal production.
- Because FMSC MarketPlaceTM shoppers choose to buy Fair Trade verified goods, we can support artisans’ livelihoods, empowering communities.
- Because of staff, food distribution partners and a whole lot of prayer, 99.7% of shipped meals safely reach their intended destinations and make it into the hands of kids.
- Because of leadership and strict adherence to our mission with Christ at the center, we’ve continued to meet Charity Navigator’s highest 4-star rating for 20 years.
Together, 5 billion MannaPack® meals have made it around the world. Kids are fed, communities are empowered and we’re able to reach more families in need every year.

Hunger is still a crisis, but we have hope
In a world where 6,200 children won’t see tomorrow because of hunger today, milestones like 5 billion meals are a celebration of a hopeful future and motivation to ship the next billion meals.
Every meal matters — for the child in Haiti, the family in Eswatini, the student in the Philippines — because every meal is a chance to turn hunger into hope. J.J. said it well: “Together, we are not simply feeding kids; we are reminding them that they matter and are not forgotten.”
Hunger is urgent, so let’s keep the momentum moving — until all are fed!
