Stories of Feeding God's Children Hungry in Body & Spirit

Food in action: Gabriel’s story

Food in action: Gabriel’s story

Gabriel was nearly 3 years old but weighed only 6 pounds. MannaPack® meals saved his life.

His grandmother, Imelda, feared the worst as she watched him grow weaker. She was heartbroken. Imelda laid Gabriel on one of her dresses to keep him comfortable; he didn’t look like he would live much longer.

Then, Imelda’s friend stopped by, worried about her friend. She told Imelda about African Children Today (ACT), a partner of Feed My Starving Children. She’d heard they could help even very malnourished children.

After receiving FMSC food from ACT and eating MannaPack meals for a few months, Gabriel grew to 18 pounds! These meals saved his life.
