Stories of Feeding God's Children Hungry in Body & Spirit
Globally, hunger kills one person every four seconds — and more than 333 million people do not know where their next meal will come from (World Food Programme, 2023). The scale of the current global food crisis is enormous. But there is more to the story.
In 2023, we saw tensions grow, wars wear on and record-breaking droughts turn to catastrophic floods. We watched in horror as families in sensitive countries found themselves facing impossible choices at the brink of starvation. But there’s so much more to the story.
This year, FMSC lived out a story of steadfast hope in action. And it’s a story we couldn’t write without you.
FMSC sends food to some of the toughest places on Earth. These are resource-stressed communities that have faced armed conflicts, natural disasters and collapsing governments. Our distribution partners often risk their own health and safety to get essential nutrition where it’s needed most.
In 2023, these partners told us one thing again and again: We’re not going anywhere because you’re not going anywhere.
Our partners know that the nutrition their communities rely on will keep coming — because families, churches, community groups, businesses and individuals like you step up to volunteer, donate and pray over these meals.
This year, you stood with us — steadfast and full of hope — as we determined to say YES to sending as many meals as possible. Together, we shipped our 4 BILLIONTH meal. In November, FMSC set a new record and sent more than 47.3 million MannaPack® meals to 33 countries around the world — enough to feed 129,648 kids a daily meal for a full year.
These meals are feeding boys like Zaqueo. Families like Estela’s. Toddlers like Yulia. Because of meals like these, Rebecca can dance.
The year is ending; hunger isn’t. But your steadfast support is transforming lives — one by one, meal by meal — in regions around the world.
